Round 7 – Sl st in back loop only all the way around.

Round 8 – 1 sc in each st.

Note: Star st: First finish your last sc with white, then insert your hook into the second chain from the hook. Yarn over and pull a loop through. This is the beginning of a single crochet stitch, but instead of completing the entire stitch, leave the loop on the hook. Insert your hook into the next chain, yarn over and pull through. There are now three loops on the hook.

Continue to insert your hook into subsequent chains, yarning over and pulling through until there are six loops on your hook. With six loops on your hook, yarn over one more time and pull through all six loops. The loops create the "spikes" that make up your first star.

Chain one. This finishes the star. Next, insert your hook into the "eye" that you just made. Yarn over and pull through. There will now be two loops on your hook. Insert your hook into the space between the two last "spikes" from the first "star." Yarn over and pull through. There will be three loops on your hook.

Insert your hook into the same chain where you worked the last stitch of the previous star. Yarn over and pull through. There will now be four loops on your hook. Insert your hook into the next chain, yarn over and pull through. Repeat in the next chain. This will give you six loops on your hook.

Finish this second star as you did the first one. Yarn over and pull through all six loops on the hook. Chain one to close the second star. Repeat the steps above to make stars all the way around. When you get to the end, make one hdc in the last stitch.  Once done Crochet two hdc stitches into the eye of the star in the row below to make the top of the star.

Round 9- With white start st all the way around.

Round 10- 2 hdc in each eye of the star.

Round 11- With black, 1 sc in each st.

Round 12- 26Now you will repeat this changing the color of round 9 and 10 with whatever colors you want.

After you have finished your colors you do 4 rounds of hdc’s then it’s time to make the holes for your handles. You can use st markers to mark out your holes. To make you holes you need to do 1 round of sc and you need to ch 3 and sk 3 making sure that the hole evenly lined up with each other.

When you are done making your holes for your handles you will do 4 more rows of sc.

You don’t have to do this part but you can if you want to, I had some fabric around and cut 2 pieces  the same size of my bag and sew them together leaving one side open, then turning it inside out and sewing it inside my bag. If you do this don’t for get to cut holes in the inside bag to line up with the outside bag so you can use your Grommet Kit.

Now you will use your Grommet Kit by putting the one that looks like a top hat on the outside of the bag and other part on the inside of the bag and using the hammer and long metal part to hammer the 2 parts together.

Now after you have done the Grommet Kit for all 4 holes on to the handles, which is just sc until you have the handle as long as you want then just turn and sc to end, now your handles are made. To attach them just put them through the holes and tie a knot so them don’t come out. Enjoy
