What You Need:

Hook D 3.5

Scissors

Yarn- Color of your choice- I used ZZ Twist Dark Purple and Red, also Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton White

Yarn Needle

Zipper

Piercing Hook

Note: ZZ Twist has been discontinued so a substitute is Schachenmayr Catania or Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK

 

Pocket Book

We will star off by using are piercing Hook and dark purple you will sc to the end then ch 4 and continue sc on the other side to the end and ch 4 sc on other side and sl st.

 

Now we will which to are 3.5 hook and do the first part of are star st. Then do the second part of the star st. Then with white 1 sc in each st.

 Now it’s just a repeat of star st and sc.

 

Unzip the pocketbook and turn it inside and sc the bottom together.

What You Need:

Hook- 5.0mm

Yarn- Likecord Any color you like I used black and purple

Magnetic Button Clasp Snaps 18mm

Swivel Snap Hooks

Key Chain Rings

I 'm going to start by making 31 chains with black

Row 1: 1 sc in each ch, repeat to end. (30 st)

Row 2:  Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st. (30)

Row 3: With purple, Ch 1, 1 sc in each ch, repeat to end. (30 st)

Row 4: 1 hdc in each st. (30)

Row 5: Now you will repeat row 1-4 until the purse is as long as you want. I made mine 14 ½ inches long.

Sides

Star at the bottom and count out 14 rows, then along the side of 10 rows sc across and make the same size.

 

Before I made my purse, I hand sewed some fabric to the purse. 

 Now you sew all the corners together.

Now we move on to are flap, just attach your yarn to the top and sc and hdc making the flap as long as you like. Then add your snap.

You can cover your snap with a small sc square and add your rings with 2 row of 5 sc and sew it on the side of the bag.

Now let’s make are handle, take your Swivel Hook and sc 5 around the hook and do 3 rows of each color and make your handle as long as you like. Then attach your handle to your purse.
