Materials:
Scissors
D-Rings or you can use key rings
Note: You may use any color you like for this bag ( it doesn’t even have to be cotton yarn) but you must make sure you have enough yarn for this project as you will see in the pic and video how I have lots of different colors going on, it’s all because I did not have enough yarn and just went with what I had around the house. For the brown color I only had 4 skein and I should have gotten 6. For the black and gold I had 2 skein and should have had 4.
Bag Bottom/ Sides (make 6)
Ch 15,
Row 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st, until bag is 12 inches long.
Row 3-4: 1 sc around.
Now you will take your canvas and put it between the two bottom pieces and sc them together.
Sides (Make 5)
Note: Your inside sides for bag does not need to be the same color or same style of st.
Option 1
Ch 63,
Row 2: 1 sc in each st, until bag side is 12 inches long.
Row 3-4: 1 sc around.
Option 2
Ch 66,
Row 1: 1 sc in each ch.
Row 2: Star St to end.
Star St
Row 3: 2 sc in to each ch space.
Row 4-5: 1 sc in to each st. Repeat rows 1-5 until the side is 12 inches.
Now you will take your canvas and put it between the two side pieces and sc them together.
Now we can put them together
Now that we have are bag we need to sew on the top on so we can close the bag.
Now we will be adding are Magnetic Button Clasp,
Ch 7, 1 sc in each st for 4 rows, attach your clasp and sew on to the bag.
Now you will take your d-ring or key ring and sc 4 around the ring, 1 sc in each ring for 3 rows then sew on to side of bag, do this to the other side of the bag.
Now we will make are strap for the bag, you will take your Swivel Hooks and sc 7 in the ring, then 1 sc in each st until strap is as long as you like add another Swivel Hooks at the end and attaching the hooks to the bag and enjoy.
