Eskimo Hat



Note: This hat is for a baby, if you would like to make this hat bigger you can increase the number of hdc you put in the ring but make sure it is a even number.

Materials

Crochet Hook H
Big Twist Gray and Bernat Pipsqueak Whitey White
Scissors

Note: Make second hat in white

Ch, 4
Round 1: 8 hdc in ring, use st market. (8)
Round 2: 2 hdc in each st. (16)
Round 3: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next st, repeat to end. (24)
Round 4: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 2st’s, repeat to end. (32)
Round 5: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 3st’s, repeat to end. (40)
Round 6: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 4st’s, repeat to end. (48)
Round 7: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 5sts, repeat to end. (56)
Round 8: 2 hdc in first st, hdc in next 6st’s, repeat to end. (64)
Round 9-20: hdc in each st. (64)

Side Flaps

Round 1: 1 hdc in next 8 st’s
Round 2- 8: Ch 1, hdc in each st.
Finish off.  Do same thing to other side.

Front Flap

Attach yarn to whatever side you choose to be the front of your hat with a sl st.
Round 1: hdc in same st as sl st and in next 23 st’s, turn
Round 2-10: Ch 1, hdc in each st. Finish off.

Back Flap

Attach yarn to back of hat with a sl st.
Round 1: hdc in same st as sl st and in next 23 st’s, turn
Round 2-4: Ch 1, hdc in each st. Finish off.

When both hats are made put white hat inside gray hat and sc crochet them together with the white yarn. Then sc front flap to hat.

Materials:

Ch 35 with black

Rounds 1 – Skip first 2 ch, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 31, 4 hdc in last ch. Continuing on other side of ch, hdc in 32 ch, 2 hdc in 1st skipped ch at beginning of round. Sl st in top of 2nd ch.

Rounds 2 – Ch 2, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, hdc in next 31 hdc, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in each of next 2 hdc, hdc in next 31 hdc, 2 hdc in each of next 2 hdc. Sl st in top of ch 2.

Rounds 3 – Ch 2, hdc in next 2 hdc, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, hdc in next 32 hdc, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, hdc in next 4 hdc, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, hdc in next 32 hdc, 2 hdc in ea of next 2 hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc. Sl st in top of ch 2.

Rounds 7 – Ch 1, sl st in ea hdc.

Rounds 8 – Ch 1,(work in back loops only) sc in each hdc.
For the next part of this purse I follow this pattern, each dot is a st, the lines on the pattern is where I stop and ended.  So there are 20 st's in black on the sides of the purse. I got this pattern from alltapestrycrochet.com/patterns/ when you get to the site click on read more under patterns and scroll down you will see the pattern I used. It would be best to print it out.

 
You will be adding the second color, you will which in between the colors. When you have to which colors make sure you finish the last st before your new color with the new color.

Purse Handles- Make 2
Ch 141, With black

Row 1-4: Ch 1,1 sc in each ch.

Row 5: Slip stitch the top and bottom rows together to form a tube. Join both ends of the tube, to form a circle.

Ch 36, With yellow

Row 1-10: Ch 1,1 sc in each st.

Row 11: Form a roll around the tube and sew together.

Ch 3, With yellow Make 2

Row 1: Ch 1, 2sc in 2ch from hook and in next ch. (3)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in last st. (4)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 1sc in next 2 st’s. (5)

Row 4: Ch 1, 1 sc in next 2 st’s, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 st’s. (6)

Row 5-16: Ch1, 1 sc in each st.

Row 17: Ch 1, 1 sc in next 2 st’s,  sc dec in next st, 1 sc in next 2 st’s. (5)

Row 18: Ch 1, sc in next st, sc dec in next st, 1sc in next 2 st’s. (4)

Row 19: Ch 1, sc in next st, sc dec in next st, sc in last st. (3)

Row 20: Work a crab stitch around to finish off. Add to handling and sew on purse. Enjoy.

Crocodile Flower kaleidoscope blank





Materials
Yarn
H 5.0mm hook

Popcorn Stitch- Work 5 double crochet (dc) stitches in the same stitch. Drop the loop from your hook. Insert your hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the first double crochet of the group. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.

Front Post Double Treble- (fpdtr) Yarn over 3 times, Insert the hook between two stitches from front to back, then around back through the front, Yarn over and draw up a loop, Yarn over and pull through 2 loops, 4 times.


Crocodile flower
Round 1 Ch 4, Join with Sl-St, Ch 3, 11 Dc in ring. Join to top of ch 3. (12 Dc, Ch 3 Counts as Dc)


Round 2  Ch 1, turn so that the back of row 1 is facing you. 1 Tr in the same St as the Sl-St, Skip the back end of the Sl-St, Sc, Tr in the next St, repeat around to end Sl-St to first ch to join. (12 Sc, 12 Tr, 24 St) 


Round 3 -  You will be working only into the Sc’s, Ch 1, Tr, Sc in the same St as the Sl-St, skip the next Tr, Sc, Tr, Sc 11 times. Sl-St to ch 1 to join. (12 Tr, 24 Sc, 36 St's)


Round 4 In this round you will again be working only into the sc’s, Ch 1, skip the next Tr and Sc, Tr in the next Sc, Sc in the next Sc, 11 times. Join to the Ch St with a Sl-St. Fasten off and weave in your tails of yarn. (12 Tr, 24 Sc , 36 St's)

Round 5  From this point on wards, you will work with the right side facing you, join your yarn by making a Sl-St, followed by a Ch-2, in the first Sc after any Tr around Sc in the same St, 2 Sc’s in the next St, *Ch 5, and sl st into the sc at the base of the ch-5, skip the next Tr,  2 Sc’s in each of the next 2 Sc’s*, repeat to end, join to the first Sc with a Sl-St. Fasten off. (48 Sc’s and 12 Ch-5 loops)

Round 6 Join your yarn by making a Sl-St in the first Sc after any Ch-5 loop, *7 Ch 4, (counts as first Tr, after this there will not be any more ch 4 they will be tr) then Tr in next St, then Ch 6, Sl-St to the side of the second Tr then Tr in the next St and Ch 3*, repeat to end. Sl-St at top of Ch 3. (36 Tr’s, 12 Ch-3 spaces, and 12 Ch-6 loops)

Round  7  Join your yarn by making a Sl-St in the first Sc after any Ch 6 loop, Ch-4(counts as first Tr), Tr, Ch 6, Sl-St to the side of the second Tr then Tr in same Sp,  Ch 4, repeat to end. Sl-St at the top of Ch 4. (36 T’s, 12 Ch-4 spaces, and 12 Ch-6 loops) Finish Off.

Petals
Round 8–In this round you will need to work into the ch-4 spaces from row 7, You will need to join your yarn with a Sl-St, 6 Tr’s into the next Ch-6 loop and then Ch 3, sl st in first ch, 6 more Tr’s into the same Ch-6 loop, Finish the petal by making a Sc around the next Ch-4 space.Repeat around and finish off by sl st in ch 4 space.

Round 9- Join your yarn by making a Sl-St around any ch-3 space from row 6, remembering to insert your hook between 2 of the Tr’s from row 7, 6 Dc’s in the next Ch-6 loop, Ch 1, Flatten the petal and locate the stitch that it lines up with and insert your hook around the post of that stitch make a Sl-St. Ch 1, Sc into the side of the last of the 6 Dc you made into the Ch-6 loop, 6 more Dc’s into the same Ch-6 loop, Finish the petal by making a Sc around the next Ch-4 space. Finish off.


Round 10- Join your yarn by making a Sl-St around any ch-3 space from row 5, remembering to insert your hook between 2 of the Tr’s from row 6, 6 Hdc’s in the next Ch-6 loop, Ch 1, Flatten the petal and locate the stitch that it lines up with and insert your hook around the post of that stitch make a Sl-St. Ch 1, Sc into the side of the last of the 6 Hdc you made into the Ch-6 loop, 6 more Hdc’s into the same Ch-6 loop, Finish the petal by making a Sc around the next Ch-4 space. Finish off.


Round 11- Turn your work join your yarn in the middle of the petals loop, put 4 tr in the first st in between the petals, ch 3 sl st in the first ch, put 4 tr in the second st in between the petals sl st in the next petals middle loop, repeat around join with a sl st.

Round 12- Turn your * hdc in next st, sc in next st, ch 6, sc in the 7th st, hdc in last st, dc in next 2 st’s*, repeat 10 times. Join with a sl st.

Round 13- Ch 1, *sc in same st as sl st, sc in next st, 6 sc in ch 6 space, sc in next 5 st’s*, repeat around, 6 sc in the last ch 6 space, sc in last 3 st’s, join with a sl st to first sc.

Round 14- Ch 4, (count as first tr) 3 tr in same st, *skip 3 st’s, sc in next st, catch the point of your petal and sc in next st, sc in next st, skip next 3 st’s, 4 tr in next st, ch 3 sl st in first ch, 4 tr in next st*, repeat around, join with sl st at top of ch 4. Finish off, change colors.


Round 15- Join your yarn by making a *hdc in the first tr of any petal, sc in next st, ch 6, sc in 7th st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, skip next st, fpdc around point of petal, dc in next st*, repeat around join with a sl st to first hdc.

Round 16- Sl st in next st, ch 2 (count as first hdc) hdc in next 3 st’s *Catch the point of the petal by making a hdc through it, hdc in the next 5 st’s, fptr around the post of the fpdc, skip the next st, 2 hdc’s in the next st, Fptr around the same fpdc,  skip the next st, hdc in the next 4 st’s*, Repeat around, don’t do the last 4 hdc’s on the last repeat, Join to the top of the beginning ch-2.

Round 17- Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 4 st’s, *fpdc around the point of the petal, skip the st behind the fpdc, sc in next 6 st’s, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 st’s*, repeat around, don’t do the last 5 sc’s on the last repeat. Join to the top of the first sc with a sl st.

Round 18- Change colors or sl st to correct st, hdc in the second sc before any fpdc from the previous round, Hdc in the next st, *popcorn stitch in the next st, hdc in the next 4 st’s, fptr around the fptr, skip the next st behind the fptr, hdc in the next 2 st’s, 2 hdc’s in the next st, hdc in the next 2 st’s, fptr around the fptr, skip the next st, hdc in the next 3 st’s* Repeat around, don’t do the last 2 hdc’s on the last repeat. Join to the first hdc with a sl st.

Round 19- Ch 3 (this counts as your first dc), dc in each st, Repeat around, Join to the top of ch-3.

Round 20- ch 3 (this counts as your first dc). Dc in the next 3 st’s, *fpdtr around the fptr, Skip the next st, dc in the next 10 st’s, fpdtr around the fptr, skip the next st, dc in the next 4 st’s,* Repeat around, don’t do the last 4 dc’s on the last repeat. Join to the top of the beginning ch-3 with a sl st.

Round 21- Ch 2, hdc in each st, join to top of ch 2 with a sl st.

Round 22- Ch 1, sc in the same st. Sc in the next 2 st’s, *fptr around the fptr from Round 20 to the left of the popcorn stitch, fpdtr around the fptr from Round 20 to the right of the popcorn stitch, skip the next st, sc in each st to next fptr, * Repeat around, don’t do the last 3 sc’s on the last repeat. Join to the first sc with a sl st.

Round 23- Ch 3 (this counts as your first dc), dc in each st, fpdc around the posts of both fptr’s, Repeat around, Join to the top of the beginning ch-3 with a sl st.

Round 24- Ch 1, hdc in same st as ch 1, * hdc in each st, fpdc around each fpdc,* repeat round, join to first hdc with a sl st.

Round 25- At this point you should have 212 st’s, bphdc in the next 51 st’s, 3 bptr, ch 2, in next st, 3 bptr in the next st, repeat around, sl st to first bphdc.

Round 26- Ch 2, hdc in each st putting 6 dc, ch 3 and sl st into the third ch from the hook to form a point, 6 dc in each corner, repeat around, join with a sl st to ch 2, finish off.

Round 27- *Sl st in any point of any corner, sc in the next 6 st, tr in the next 3 bptr’s, working around the front posts of the 3 bptr’s, sc in each st, until next 3 bptr, tr in those 3 bptr, sc in the next 6, 2 sc in the point,* repeat around, join with a sl st.

Round 28- *Sc in next 6 st’s, hdc to next corner, sc in next 6 st’s, 2 sc in point* repeat around, sl st to join. Finish off

Sides
Round 1 - Join your yarn on any corner point ch 1, hdc 2together, 1 hdc in each st to last 2 st’s, hdc 2together, repeat to end and for each corner, finish off.

Round 2 – 3 – Ch 2, 1 hdc in each st, putting 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in each corner. Join with a sl st.

Round 4 – Repeat round 1.

Round 5 – Repeat round 2-3.
