Note: This hat is for a baby, if you would like to make this hat bigger you can increase the number of hdc you put in the ring but make sure it is a even number.

Round 1: 8 hdc in
ring, use st market. (8)
Round 2: 2 hdc in
each st. (16)
Round 3: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next st, repeat to end. (24)
Round 4: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next 2st’s, repeat to end. (32)
Round 5: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next 3st’s, repeat to end. (40)
Round 6: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next 4st’s, repeat to end. (48)
Round 7: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next 5sts, repeat to end. (56)
Round 8: 2 hdc in
first st, hdc in next 6st’s, repeat to end. (64)
Round 9-20: hdc
in each st. (64)
Side Flaps
Round 1: 1 hdc in
next 8 st’s
Round 2- 8: Ch 1,
hdc in each st.
Finish off. Do same thing to other side.
Front Flap
Attach yarn to
whatever side you choose to be the front of your hat with a sl st.
Round 1: hdc in
same st as sl st and in next 23 st’s, turn
Round 2-10: Ch 1,
hdc in each st. Finish off.
Back Flap
Attach yarn to
back of hat with a sl st.
Round 1: hdc in
same st as sl st and in next 23 st’s, turn
Round 2-4: Ch 1,
hdc in each st. Finish off.
When both hats
are made put white hat inside gray hat and sc crochet them together with the white
yarn. Then sc front flap to hat.
