This is the project at the end of crochet lesson 2 where you learn slip stitch (sl st) and single crochet (sc). While doing this project I will be showing you how to which between colors.

Square:

Ch 36 with white

Row 1-4: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Sl st in back loop only (with jazzy)

Row 5:  Work in front loops only, ch 1, 1 sc in next 15 st’s (in white), 1sc in next 5 st’s (in black), 1 sc in next 15 st’s (in white).

Row 6: Ch 1, 1 sc in next 14 st’s (in white), 1sc in next 2 st’s (in black),

Flip over your square and start on the other side, sl st in back loop only (with jazzy)

Row 40: 1sc in each st around your square putting 3 sc in each corner. Finish off and enjoy.

Row 1: Starting with white ch 6, hdc in 4^th ch from hook and 1 hdc in next 2 ch’s. (1 block made)

Row 2:  Turn your work, ch 6 hdc in 4 ch from hook and in next 2 ch’s, sl in ch space, ch 2, 3 hdc in space. (2 blocks made)
