Let's get started! Cut 2 rectangles measuring 15" long and 17" wide.

Now we use are rotary cutter with are crochet blade and roll it right across the top of our bag body.

Zipper

For the zipper I used a smaller hook, (3.0mm) the yarn. Since the yarn was too thick to fit through the holes on my zipper, I separated the strands of yarn and attached the ends.

Round 1: (3.0 mm) 3 sc in each top hole, once at the last hole ch 3 or 4 and continue with 3 sc in each top hole, once at last hole ch 3 or 4 sl st to first sc.

Round 2: Ch 2, 1 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in sl st, hdc in next corner, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 or 4 st’s, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next corner, 2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 or 4 st’s, sl st to top of ch 2. Sew zipper onto bag
