What You Need:

Yarn- Red Heart Stripe

Crochet Hook- G 4.0 mm

Scissors

Yarn Needle

Fluffy Ball

 

Band:

Row 1: ch 13 sc in each st and turn. (12 sc)

Row 2: Sc in each st, turn. (12 sc)

Row 3:  ch 1, sc in each st, back loops only, turn. (12sc)

Row 4: Repeat round 3 until the band fits around your head without stretching. Mines measure 21 ½ inches. Sl st together. Turn inside out.

 

Hat:

Round 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Round 2: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 3: 1 sc in next 18 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 4: 1 sc in next 17 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 5: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 6: 1 sc in next 16 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 7: 1 sc in next 15 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 8: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 9: 1 sc in next 14 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 10: 1 sc in next 13 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 11: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 12: 1 sc in next 12 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 13: 1 sc in next 11 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 14: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 15: 1 sc in next 10 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 16: 1 sc in next 9 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 17: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 18: 1 sc in next 8 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 19: 1 sc in next 7 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 20: Ch 1, skip next st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 hdc in skipped st, repeat to end,

Round 21: 1 sc in next 6 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 29: dec around, leave long tail for sewing.

Sew fluffy ball on to hat.

 Note: I used these different colors because of thanksgiving and I had them, but you may use any color you want, I mixed red heart and big twist.

Pattern

Ch 5,

Row 1: 2 hdc, in last ch, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: 1sc in each st, ch 2, turn.

Row 3: 2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in rest of st’s, ch 2, turn.

Row 4: 1sc in each st, ch 2, turn.

Row 5: Repeat row 3-4 until you get to 60 Inches.

Row 6: 1 hdc dec in next st, 1 hdc in rest of st’s, ch 2, turn.

Row 7: 1sc in each st, ch 2, turn.

Row 8: Repeat row 6-7 until you get to 60 Inches.
