Ribbing

Ch 130, Join, try not to twist.

Dc into each ch across, Fpdc in next st, Bpdc in next st, repeat until ribbing measures 2½. (130) St’s

Body

Row 1: Hdc in each st across until piece measures 16½”. (130) St’s

Front

Hdc in next 64 st’s, turn, repeat to piece measures 13”. (64) St’s

Next you will hdc in the next 27 st’s, turn sc2gether, hdc to end, turn repeat until there are 10 st’s left. Skip 5 st’s and repeat for other side. 311/2”

Back

Skip 1st from the front and add yarn and hdc until you are 1st away from the other side, turn, hdc until back is the same height as the front.

Sleeves- Make 2

To start the sleeves, you will need to chain as many as you need and fit the chains around your wrest to see if it fits, make sure it’s not too tight or to lose, I used 33 chains. Make sure not to twist your work.

Row 1: Ch 33, sl st together.

Row 2-14: Hdc in each st.  Mark end of round do not join. (32)

Row 15: Hdc in next 15 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end. (34)

Row 16 – 19: Hdc in each st. (34)

Row 20: Hdc in the next 16 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end. (36)

Row 21-24: Hdc in each st. (36)

Row 25: Hdc in next 17st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end. (38)

Row 26-29: Hdc in each st. (38)

Row 30: Hdc in the next 18’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end. (40)

Row 31-51: Hdc in each st. (40) It should go up to your armpit if not keep going until you get there.

Row 52: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 36 st’s

Row 53-67: Hdc in each st. (36) Make sure to dec at the start and end of each row, until you can’t dec anymore. Leave long tail for sewing. Sew arm on jacket.

Now time to fix that neck attach yarn to any corner of the neck 1 dec, 1 hdc to other end of back and 1 dec. 1 hdc along front of neck to other end then 1 dec. Now sl st 5 st’s together ( that’s front and back together) sc along front of neck until you are 5 st’s away and sl st together ( that’s front and back together) then finish off and weave in any ends. Now enjoy.

MATERIALS

Yarn: Lion Brand CoBoo Yarn Pink, Yellow and Scheepjes Whirlette Yarn Grappa, Mango

Crochet Hooks: E/3.5mm

Scissors

Yarn Needle

Scrap piece of yarn for stitch marker

Hat Band

Row 1: Ch 95. (95)

Row 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st. (94)

Row 3-6: Ch 2, dcfp around next post, dcbp around next post, repeat to end. (94)

Then you want to sc the ends together.

Hat

Note: You will now be working on the other side of the band.

Round 7: Ch 1, 1sc in each st.

Round 8: Use Yellow and Mango for the Star st, Ch 2, Insert your hook into the second ch from hook, yarn over and pull through. Continue to insert your hook yarning over and pulling through until there are six loops on your hook. With six loops on your hook, yarn over one more time and pull through all six loops. Ch 1. This finishes the star. It also creates an eye in the center of the star.

Note: You will be working into the eye of the star,

Round 9: Ch 1, 2 hdc into each eye of each star. (88)

Round 10: Ch 1, 1sc in next 20 st, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end. (88)

Round 11: Repeat round 8 and 9.

Round 12: Ch 1, 1sc in next 19 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end. (84)

Round 13: Repeat round 8 and 9.

Round 14: Ch 1, 1sc in next 5 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end. (72)

Round 15: Repeat round 8 and 9.

Round 16: Ch 1, 1sc in next 4 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end. (60)

Round 17: Repeat round 8 and 9.

Round 18: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st. (60)

Now repeat round 17 and 18 until hat is as long as you want.

Now you will leave a long tail and weave  in and out to the end and pull shut the whole. Then you will make a Pom Pom for the top of the hat, sew on Pom Pom and enjoy.  Need to know how to make a pompom with out a pompom maker watch this video I found here.
