Cupid’s Carryall Bag

 

 


What You Need:

Hook: E 3.5mm

Yarn 24/7 DK Cotton Caviar and KC Hand Dyed Berry Burst

Note: KC Hand Dyed Berry Burst is discontinued so you can try this substitute Yarnart Jeans Yarn (I was not able to find the same color)

Yarn Needle

Fabric Quarters

Magnetic Button Clasp Snaps

D Rings

Swivel Snap Hooks

Front/Back

Ch 80,

Row 1: 1 dc in each ch.

Row 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Row 3: Ch 3, fpdc in the next dc from the previous row, 1 hdc in next st, skip next post, repeat to end.


 Row 4: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st. 


Row 5: Ch 3, fpdc in the next dc from the previous row, 1 hdc in next st, repeat to end. 


 Row 6: Repeat rows 4-5 until bag is 11 ½ inches tall.


 Now we add fabric and sew it on.

Next to add are magnetic snaps.

 

Sew the two halves together and add the D-rings on the sides.

Now we move on to the handles,

Row 1: Sc 7 around your swivel hook.

Row 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st.

Row 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st. Repeat until strap is as long as you like. Hook strap on to bag.

January Secret Pattern #1

 

 


What You Need:

Hook: E 3.5mm

Yarn Needle

Yarn of your choice I used Big Twist Baby Bunny and Cotton King Sultan Shadow Color 01. These 2 yarns are used together.

 

Abbreviations:

Ch: chain

Sl st: slip stitch

Sc: single crochet

Hdc: half double crochet

Note: The top should be 6 to 7 inches.

Pattern

Round 1: Ch 4, join, 10 hdc in ring. Use stitch marker. (10)

Round 2: 2 hdc in each st. (20)
Round 3: 1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (30)

Round 4: 1 hdc in next 2 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (40)

Round 5: 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (50)

Round 6: 1 hdc in next 4 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (60)

Round 7: 1 hdc in next 5 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (70)

Round 8: 1 hdc in next 6 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (80)

Round 9: 1 hdc in next 7 st’s, 2 hdc in next st, repeat to end (90)

Round 10-21: 1 hdc in each st.

Round 22: Ch 45, skip 45, hdc in each st to end. (90)

Round 23- 30: 1 hdc in each st. (90)

Round 31: 1 dec in next st, 1 hdc in next 7 st’s, repeat to end. (80)

Round 32: 1 hdc in next 6 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end. (70)

Round 33- 42: 1 hdc in each st. (70) Finish off.

At this point you should know what you’re making, attach yarn to opening at top.

Round 1: 1 hdc in next 4 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 2: 1 hdc in next 3 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 3: 1 hdc in next 2 st’s, 1 dec in next st, repeat to end.

Round 4- 5: 1 hdc in each st. Finish off. Enjoy
