Row 1: Ch enough to fit around your head without stretching. In multiple of 3 + 1 for turning ch.

Row 2: 1 sc in each st to end.

Row 3: Ch 1, skip first st, dc in next st, dc in skip st’s, *skip next 2 st, dc in next st, dc in second skipped st*, repeat to end. (There should be 1 skipped st in between each crisscross)

Row 4: Ch 1, 1 sc in next 2 st’s, 1 dc in skipped st from the row below.

Row 5: Ch 1, skip first st, 1 dc in next st, dc in skipped st, back post in dc, repeat to end.

Row 6: Ch 1, skip first st, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in skipped st, front post in next post, repeat to end.

Repeat row 5-6 until ear warmer is as long as you want.

Once done with making ear warmer as big as you want you need to turn ear warmer inside out and make a c with both ends of ear warmer and interlock them and sew through all 4 layers. Turn right side in and enjoy.

What You Need:

US G (4.00 mm) crochet hook

Worsted weight yarn 2 colors, I am using Green Apple and Caron Simply Soft Party Red

Needle

Scissors

Star Stitch Explanations

Row 1: sc5tog from 2nd chain, ch1, *sc5tog from ch1, ch1*, repeat from * until you have 1ch left, 1hdc in that last ch, turn

Row 2: ch2 (counts as a hdc), *2hdc in each ch1 from previous row*, repeat from * until you crocheted in each ch1 from previous row, 1hdc in the last stitch, turn

Row 3: ch3 (does not count as a stitch), sc5tog from 2nd chain, ch1, *sc5tog from ch1, ch1*, repeat from * until you have 1st left, 1hdc in that last ch, turn

Row 4: ch2 (counts as a hdc), *2hdc in each ch1 from previous row*, repeat from * until you crocheted in each ch1 from previous row, 1hdc in the last stitch, turn

Repeat Rows 3 & 4 until you have the desired length.

Scarf

Row 1: Starting with green ch 230 sts.

Row 2: 1 sc in each st.

Row 3: Attach red yarn ch 4, star st to end.

Row 4; Ch 1, 2 sc in each eye of the start. (That’s the hole you made after you chained 1.

Row 5-6: With green yarn, ch 1, 1 sc in each st.

Row 7: Repeat rows 3-6 until scarf covers your back and shoulder. Finish off.

Hood

Count out your st’s and divide by 3 (my was 220)

Attach your yarn in the middle and sc the number that you got when divided (my was 73)

Now you will continue the star st pattern you were doing before. Once done you will turn hood inside out and put corners together and sc them together, then turn hood inside right and enjoy.
