What You Need:
Yarn: Any 100% Acrylic DK Yarn I used left over yarn
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sk = skip
REP = repeat
st = stitch(es)
sp = space
Gauge blocked: 25 sc X 20 rows = 4 "
This is made in 5 pieces and then sewn together.
How to Make a Foundation Chain (ch)
Make a slipknot-Create a loop with your yarn. Pull a second loop through the first one. Tighten it onto your hook.
Yarn over (YO)-Wrap the yarn from back to front over the hook.
Pull through the loop-Use your hook to pull that yarn over through the loop already on your hook.
Repeat-Keep yarning over and pulling through until you have the number of chains you need.
BACK PANEL
Note: The chain will be the length of the jacket. The rows will be the width.
Use your height and divide by 2 the number you get convert into inches and that is how many inches your foundation ch should be. Mine was 36 inches.
Row 1: 1 sc into each st, continue until you reach the width of your back. I stop when I got to 18 inches.
Color Pattern: 5 rows color 1
Front Left and Right Panels
Note: The chain will be the length of the jacket. The rows will be the width.
Follow the same color pattern for the back. Take the inches from the back panel (18) and divide by 2 (9) this is how wide the front panels need to be. I will still be do a foundation ch of 36 inches.
Row 1: 1 sc into each st, continue until you reach the with of your panels.
SLEEVES (MAKE 2)
Note: The chain will be the width around your arm. The rows will be the length. Follow the same color pattern for the back, make a chain as wide as your arm my number is 14in.
Row 1: 1 sc into each st, continue until you reach the length of your arm. My number is 10in.
If you want a shorter sleeve, just make less rows. If you want a longer sleeve, just keep repeating row 1 more times. Cut the yarn and leave long tail for sewing.
JOINING THE PIECES TOGETHER
Once your shirt is put together your going to clip the right and left panels back like the pic above. Your going to take some yarn and sew the panels in place.
CROCHET THE COLLAR
Attach yarn at top corner of shirt panel and sc along collar to other top corner of shirt panel for about 5 rows. You may use what ever color you like I am using white.
While move on I noticed that the arms were to small and I had to go back a fix them so I took them off and add more yarn to make them wider.
Now with my white I’m going to make my button holes by sc from the collar to the point wear the bent point stops there you will ch 2 to make the button hole, sc 6 and then ch 2, skip 2 continue until you have 6 ch space’s. Continue to sc around the bottom and back up to the other side of the collar, also making sure to put 2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc in each corner. Once done the last thing is to just sew on your buttons.
1 row color 2, repeat
