Yarn- any of your
choices- I used Red Heart Ombre Violet, True Blue and Sweet Treat
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Star St – If you do not know how to make this st you can watch my video where I make a star st ear warmer.
Band
Ch 17
Row 1. Sc in each st. (16)
Row 2. Ch 1, 1 sc in each st in back loops only. Continue with rows 1-2 until band fits around your waist without stretching. Once done slip st together and turn inside out. (162)
Body
OF Shorts
Round 1. Ch 1, sc 162 around. Slip st together.
Round
2. Ch 1, 1 sc in first st, star st around, slip st to end. Put stiches marker
where the hips would be, so you know where to increase. Do not start increasing
until round 4.
Round 3. Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around.
Repeat round 2-3 1 more times. You will continue to do the pattern until you get to the crotch area. You increase by putting 2 sc where the st marker are.
Once you have the length you want you will find the middle and put a stitch marker there, on other side ch 24 (or however many you need to make the crotch part) now you will continue the pattern on the legs.
Draw String
Ch 350, weave in and out of band, enjoy shorts.
