Crochet Candy Corn Onsie

Material List

  • 1 Ball of yarn your choice of color
  • Size G hook
  • This is for a 6 to 7 pound baby.

Onsie

Ch 36,
  • Row 1: HDC in the 4th ch from hook and in the next 4 chs, HDC ch1 HDC in next ch, HDC in next 5 chs, HDC ch1 HDC in next ch, HDC in next 10 chs, HDC ch1 HDC in next ch, HDC in next 5 chs, DHC ch1 HDC in next ch, HDC in last 5 chs,
  • Row 2-7: Ch1, turn, HDC in each HDC, putting HDC ch1 HDC in each ch1 space.
  • Row 8: Ch1, turn, sc across to first ch1 space, sc in space, skip to next space, sc in space and in each HDC across to next space, sc in space, skip to next space, sc in space and in each HDC across to end. You have just made the armholes.
  • Row 9: Ch1, turn, sc in each sc to underarm, putting 2sc in each of the 2 underarm sts, repeat for second underarm and join at end.
  • Row 10-23: Ch1, HDC around to end.

Back Tab

At end of row 23, slip stitch in the next 5 sts. Ch1 turn, HDC back across 6 sts.
  • Row 2-4: Ch1 turn, HDC across to end.
  • Row 5: Ch1 turn, sc across. finish off

Front Tab

With back facing you, line up back tab and join yarn with slip stitch, ch1 HDC in next 6 sts.
  • Row 2-4: Ch1 turn, HDC across to end.
  • Row 5: Ch1 turn, sc in first 2 sts, ch3, skip 3 sts, sc in last 2 sts. You have just made your buttonhole. Finish off.
Sew button to center of back tab.
